Ponyo Make a Splash AD

My submission for the PONYO by Hayao Miyazaki Online banner contest.

For my interpretation of the assets , I was inspired to go with a dreamy, fun, friendly and adventurous approach! ()

Technically created and illustrated via vector medium.

I decided to incorporate 3 planes/realms in this illustration composition.

Top plane - The skies with the white clouds/smoke from the boat representing the "magical" dream-like, super-natural energies of their thoughts/moments/imagination/experiences.

Middle plane - Over seas with their boat, on the vast open ocean, representing a tie from the skies to the depths and a reflection of the fine line between their tangible adventures and awesome imagination with excited determination to independently and innocently manifest their pure world, amazing adventures and fun experiences. Also"calming" of the beautiful vast sea before a storm.

Bottom plane - The depths and water representing excitement and foreshadowing of the unknown exciting energies , explorations and adventures to come. The fish give a dynamic "instinctual" migration to surface, small frys always lead to something bigger and vice versa.

Misc elements
- Ponyo makes the splash on the left with bubbles representing her magical pro activeness that manifests destiny, for not only her but everyone!
- The reflection of the clouds/smoke in the ocean can also be taken as soft wake of the boat, either way trails both manifested by their tangible adventures, flowing like the coming and going of the wind, weather and of course the ocean.
- Grand mamare watching over them in her nurturing manner, their faces of enthusiasm open for all opportunities.
